Riddle Me This? What’s scruffy, fluffy, has amazing colouring, smiles constantly and loves a belly scratch, and is the size of a toddler? Well Armarni of course! Armarni is a gorgeous Wolfhound X female who is approximately 1.5yrs old.
Armarni is Italian for warrior, and that’s exactly what this girl is. Armarni came into care without a name, underweight and needing some love. Her age is an approximate of between 12 and 18 months. During her time in foster care, she has put on around 12kg, grown a couple of centimetres and learnt to smile, a lot!
At around 62cm to the shoulder and about 26kg, Armarni is a smaller sized wolfhound x. She has all the hound tendencies that make them the perfect companion. She loves to run, fast. She can turn on a dime, she loves to sleep and she has no concept of personal space. Armarni walks perfectly on the lead, she loves the car, and she loves people. She is mostly good at remembering her training, but will require extra patience and training to make her the best family member possible.
Armarni has been living with her whippet foster siblings and is very loving to them, but she does forget she a fair bit bigger than them and doesn’t understand why they won’t wrestle with her. But, she will walk away. Armarni will be best suited in a family without small children (she has been known to knock a foster dad on his backside because he wasn’t quick enough to get out of her way). She would be fine with another dog that is older, calm and around the same size and would love a human to be home more often than not. This is important as she is still overcoming some trauma around being left alone prior to coming to DRN. She does require high fences that are both jump proof and dig proof.
She has been sleeping in a crate in her foster parent’s bedroom and sleeps through until morning. She is toilet trained (although…in typical hound fashion, if it’s raining forget about it!), She is up to date on all vet work and really needs her forever home to welcome her and her hound ways.
If you are the special family to welcome this female warrior into your lives, please contact her carer Emily at ecarty7@gmail.com for more details of complete the official adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Armarni's adoption fee is $400 and includes all up to date vet work. She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms. Armarni is currently living on the Central Coast of NSW. She is not eligible for interstate adoption.
