About Elsa
Hi!
My name is Elsa and I’m a very sweet and snuggly 7-year old Chihuahua.
I absolutely adore pats and cuddles and prefer to be on my human’s lap whenever possible – I am the ultimate lap dog!
I love going for walks too and I’m very good on the lead, although I do like to alert the neighbourhood when I walk past other dogs… I am very sociable with human friends when they come to visit, and don’t mind new people patting me either 😊
I become the most excited dog in the world when my human gets home as I don’t like to be on my own for too long – even when there’s other dogs around it’s just not the same! So I would be best suited to someone who is home more often than not, and I promise that if you do have to head out I will reward you with zoomies when you get home!
I have been well behaved around my foster sisters most of the time, although I can get a bit possessive of foster mum if I think they’re going to steal attention away from me!
I have some fear around food from my old home, so I prefer to eat in my own time with no other dogs around otherwise I get really scared or will resource guard. Sometimes foster mum has to find me in one of my hiding places and coax me to get started! Once I start eating though I do love my food, especially fresh chicken.
Medical notes
7 Year old Elsa has recently been desexed, and recently had a dental where she lost 10 teeth, and she has made a full recovery from both surgeries. She is up to date with C5 vaccination, flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
She does have moderate bilateral patella luxation, but this doesn’t cause her any issues at this stage, however she may require surgery in the future, and we would recommend keeping her on a joint support supplement to help with this condition.
