About Hugo
Hugo is a beautiful boy who isn't with out his problems
Hugo doesn't really like men, but is very defensive of women.
He is in foster care with a lady who can not speak highly enough of him.
He is house trained, has great manners, loves unconditionally, walks well on a lead, is happiest when travelling in the car, in fact it is some times hard to get him out of the car at times. He really doesn't like being left behind & also does not cope well in thunder storms or fireworks, especially if he is by himself.
Hugo is ok with a lot of men, once he is introduced to them, especially on neutral ground, but he doesn't like men just "dropping in" or getting too near his mistress, especially if not known to him.
Hugo gets on well with most dogs LOVES his ball & his toys, will spend ages chasing & retrieving a ball & going for walks. He also enjoys water & a swim or paddle when he gets the chance.
Hugo is a special needs dog, but if you can deal with his "special needs" you will have an adoring happy affectionate friend for life.
Medical notes
Although physically healthy, Hugo does have his emotional problems.
He isn't fond of men, especially strangers & hates thunder storms , loud bangs & fireworks.
We have been working on his problems & slowly making head way, but a quiet home or a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time is a must.
He loves going for car rides & is happy to spend most of his day in a car!
Adoption details
If you would like to adopt a country pet there are a few requirements.
A chat with the foster carer is the first step to determine if the pet is the right one for you and your lifrstyle. A yard check while having a meet and greet is the next step and if all is satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the foster carer.
