Hello Everyone, Sooty here! It’s such a pleasure to meet you all. My siblings and I make up the Fire Litter. We wound up in care after a member of the community posted about a lactating cat handed into the vets from a house, some of our amazing fosters knew exactly where they needed to go to hunt down this poor mummas babies. Found in the remains of a burnt out house in Meringandan, our team pulled off an amazing rescue and reunited a little family. They have had their initial vet work and passed with flying colours and are now ready to find their forever families.
I’m a curious little fellow that likes to explore all things new. I prefer to wait for some else one to try it first, but once I know it’s safe there’s no stopping me! I get along great with other cats and wouldn’t mind another friend in my new home, but would be just fine on my own. I haven’t met any dogs yet, but with proper introductions we could get along fine. My favourite place to play is a freshly changed litter box! But if one isn’t available I will settle for climbing up the cat towers. I have been good with my litter training.
I WILL BE ADOPTED AS INDOORS ONLY - this is to not only protect me from predators and deadly diseases, but also our wonderful wildlife.

Please ensure all corresponding documentation, such as vet work for existing animals & lease agreements are provided with the completed application to avoid any delays
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will pass your contact details onto the carer and they will liaise with you to arrange a meet & handover. Prior to the handover, an adoption contract will be emailed to you along with copies of vet work & our bank details. The signed adoption agreement & payment of the adoption fee is required prior to the animal leaving with you. We offer a two-week trial period, and the full adoption fee, minus an administration fee will be refundable if the adoption is cancelled within those two weeks.
At the end of the two week adoption trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name.
