About Knuckles
Introducing Knuckles!
Knuckles came into the facility as an un-microchipped stray. We were able to find his owners, however they no longer wanted him so they surrendered him to the facility. Now this senior boy is ready to find a loving home where he can live out his last few years in a loving home getting all the love he has missed out on and so desperately desires and deserves.
This sweet old man can be quite timid and shy around new people, particularly around strange men. However, he quickly comes out of his shell with a little bit of time and patience. He seems to come around with women quite quickly, and lately he has even been jumping around for joy when he gets out for his walks and exercise time. For this reason, we suggest a quiet house with no young children, and all members of the household will need to come in to meet him before he can go home. This may require his potential new family to come in for a couple of meet and greets to give him time to warm up to you if he is still a bit unsure at the first meet.
Knuckles being an older gentlemen isn’t overly fussed being around other dogs. He is a bit nervous around them and sometimes finds them a bit scary. If they are calm he might have a bit of a sniff to say hello, but then returns to his handler for encouragement and safety. For this reason, we believe he will be best suited to a home with no other animals. This way he can be comfortable in his new home and can receive his new owners undivided attention all to himself.
Knuckles does seem to have mild separation anxiety when left alone for long periods of time. An owner who is home a lot would be beneficial for him to ensure he is calm and comfortable, and not stressing about being left on his own.
Knuckles is a loving boy who wants a family he can call his own. If he sounds like the perfect man for you, please contact us via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com to express your interest or phone us on 0499 900272.
Knuckles' adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Knuckles is also regularly treated for flea and worms.
Rehoming No: R251000019
Medical notes
He had a lump on his face when he arrived but he kept bumping it in the kennels so we had it removed whilst he was being desexed. The vets said it was nothing to be concerned about.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
