About Princess Ariel
Sweet adorable active Princess Ariel, loves to snuggle and be close to her humans when she isn't busy running around with her dog friends. Ariel loves water and will chase the water while you are watering the garden or splash in her shell pool . Ariel loves to run and play, so we will be seeking an active family who will include her in day trips, hiking, beach outings etc. Ariel will need a large size backyard to run and play, small backyards will not be enough for this active little girl.
Princess Ariel is 12 weeks old and weighs in at 9 kilos so although not a solid girl this little supermodel will probably be a larger med size girl in height due to her supermodel long legs
Princess Ariel is a mix of higher energy but super intelligent breeds
Daddy a Border Collie and Mummy a German Shorthaired Pointer x Whippet
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
Princess Ariel has had 2 sets of puppy vaccines and has been wormed every 2 weeks
She also comes with one of our amazing adoption packs including
Harness.Lead.Seat Belt Safety attachment
Food
Ariel is currently eating savourlife premium dry food puppy (Chicken). Ariel can tend to be more of a graze/ slow eater. For treats and training I have been boiling up chicken breast and cutting it into small pieces. Ariel will sit and wait for her food bowl to be placed on the ground. Ariel shows no signs of food aggression.
Sleeping
Ariel has been sleeping either on the end of my bed or on one of the many dog beds in my house next to one of her siblings. Ariel tends to put herself to bed at around 9:30pm and does not want to wake up until 7am. During the day she has been either napping outside in the sun or in her dog bed.
Toileting/training/walking
Ariel has the occasional accident inside but this is becoming a very rare thing. However in a new home, I would expect Ariel to have a few accidents until she is comfortable with her new surroundings. In her new home I would suggesting keeping the same routine of taking her straight outside after she wakes up from a sleep/nap and lots of positive praise when she goes to the toilet outside.
Ariel has learnt to sit and stay. If you tell Ariel no she will listen and stop doing what she is doing straight away. Ariel also has fantastic recall and will come straight away when you call her name, even when she is in the middle of play. Ariel will take food gently from your hand and wait her turn. Ariel will require further training, puppy school will be important to help further her skills and for socialisation.
Ariel has only just started walking on a lead, but is very confident on the lead. Ariel loves being out on the lead and exploring. However given her age short walks for now, but as she grows she will require longer walks not just walks around the block.
Exercise/toys
Ariel loves running and playing with the other dogs in the house. Ariel will also play with toys but she much prefers to be running and playing with the other dogs in the house. As mentioned earlier Ariel loves water and we would love to see her adopted to someone who would encourage this play. Ariel will also play fetch.
Dogs/cats
Ariel has not been tested with cats but given her age, we see no issue with her being adopted to a home with cats.
Ariel is currently living in a home with many other dogs of all sizes. Ariel loves playing with all of her dog friends. On walks when Ariel has seen other dogs she has wanted to approach. A home with a male medium/large dog would be preferred for Ariel, but homes with no dogs will also be considered.
Children
Princess Ariel has not been tested with young children. Ariel has been around teenage children and loves them but can be mouthy. So we would be seeking a home with children 12 years and older with dog experience.
Adoption Requirements
Adoption criteria
A secure yard of larger size
Children in the home are fine BUT must be mature and kind and gentle , we are also seeking children of school age that have prior dog experience
Remembering her breed mix Princess Ariel will be a higher energy girl that will need daily exercises ( walks around a small block wont cut it)
A home with another dog is fine but we would be seeking a Male of similar size who is well socialized and gentle with puppies
He will also need to be playful and of high energy to keep up with her as she matures
Puppy School and ongoing education and training throughout her life is a must
A home where her family will understand that a new puppy will be a lot of work especially while they settle into a routine and all things that come along with a baby. Chewing.crying.stealing things they should not etc
If and only IF you meet the requirements of this puppy and would like to make him a part of your family please apply
