About Cello
The last of our musical litter to be introduced to the world is little miss Cello. This stunning girl is a show stopper with her beautiful colours and wiry coat. Cello loves her people and is very affectionate and cuddly.
Cello came from rural NSW and had a very sheltered life before arriving into foster care. She was the smallest of her litter so had to stand her ground against her much bigger siblings. Due to her sheltered start to life Cello has a lot to learn about the outside world. She will need a dedicated and experienced family to continue her socialisation. She can be wary of strangers, but quickly warms up and then loves all the attention.
When she is out learning about life, she gets quite scared by loud bangs or busy places. She’s a smart girl who looks to her handler for guidance, so in the right hands she will continue to progress quickly. She is dog social and currently lives with an x-large dog who is generally pretty lazy and not up for big plays, so Cello can be a little much for him sometimes. She would love another confident and playful dog at home who she can rumble with as this is one of her favourite things to do ! In lieu of another dog, she would love someone home most of the time, especially while she’s settling in- however, she is ok in her crate if people are out for a while.
Cello is very affectionate and makes for a wonderful addition to the family. She lives with a 12 year old currently and they get on well. We feel she would be ok with kids 12 and up who aren’t overly boisterous and loud. She is a very trainable dog and basic training is coming along well. She sleeps through the night in a crate without a peep and toilet training is almost perfect.
Due to Cello’s less than ideal start to life having to fend off her bigger siblings for any scraps of food, she has some residual resource guarding around the other dog in the house that we are working on. She is doing really well, but will need a home who appreciate her hard start to life and can help her understand a new way of thinking.
She is an absolutely gentle soul and just needs someone to show her how amazing the world can be. She has settled into foster care really well, so with the right handler, patience and consistency she will continue to understand all the benefits of being a loved family dog. She is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat.
Cello would benefit from living in a more quiet setting i.e no inner city living or units. She is looking for a home where he will be allowed inside as part of the family and be provided a warm, comfy bed inside to sleep on of a night. She will need a good amount of daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy.
If you’re the type of person who wants to change the world of a dog that’s had a rough start and help that dog find it’s feet in the world through building a special connection, then Cello is your dog. She is going to make a superbly loyal and fun dog for a special person who can put in that initial work to reap the long term rewards. If you feel you’re the perfect match for her then fill out an adoption application form from our website as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
