CHARLI UPDATE – Charli had her feeding tube removed yesterday (Mon 11/4) it was only getting used for her medication, reason being is she managed to pick the pills out of her food, cheeky monkey. 😊
Her foster carers have managed to change things around, so we have until the end of April to find her a new home.

Hi, my name is Charli, I’m a lovely little girl but have been through a really awful time. I was attacked by the other dog I lived with who gave me a very bad injury to my face which caused a huge abscess. I was dropped off at the pound where I refused to eat! As soon as the pound contacted SRV they picked me up within a couple of hours and I was on my way to my foster family, phew I was so relieved!
I ended up at the vets Friday (31/3) where I needed to get the abscess drained from my face and two teeth removed which were sticking downwards into my jaw from the fight. When I got home that Friday evening from the surgery, I was in so much pain that I needed to be rushed into the emergency vet hospital where I stayed for two nights. They needed to put a feeding tube into my belly because I hadn't eaten or drank for a long time. Thankfully, the tube was removed yesterday (11/4) so I’m on my way back to full health.
I don’t want to live with another dog after being attacked so badly. I’m full of energy and I don’t act like a 10 year old dog, more like a 3 year old. I’m house trained, I love to play fetch and to be walked everyday, but most of all I love my cuddle time on the couch. I would love to find a family that either works from home, retired as long as they are as fit as me or works part time, so I don’t get left alone for too long. I haven’t got separation anxiety I’m just used to having company as I previously lived with another dog and a family. I would be best suited to children 12 + years old.
The last couple of weeks has really turned my life upside down, so I hope to find my forever home soon where I can stay for the rest of my days.
I’m in emergency foster care but that’s just short term so I urgently need to find my forever family.
All my medical bills have been paid for but if any others occur from the abscess or my dental procedure SRV will cover all costs.
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return, I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!
