Hey there, I'm Casper. I'm a very sweet and affectionate boy who is looking for a place where I can relax and enjoy my golden years.
While I can be a little anxious in some new environments, I open up to be my super sweet self once I know I can trust you. I enjoy being indoors as part of the family, and being able to spend plenty of quality time with you. Having someone who is home more often than not would be ideal for me!
If you can provide a crate for me and give me some training with it, I'll be able to use it as a nice, safe spot to retreat to if I'm feeling overwhelmed.
I already know some neat tricks - I do a nice, well-trained 'sit'! I'm ready to show you that older dogs can certainly learn some new tricks. I'm sure that some treats will help me find some motivation for a 'shake' or a 'high five'... after all, I LOVE my food!
Food-based enrichment toys would be amazing for me, and a great way to keep me busy! If you need to leave me at home for a bit, I love having fun with kongs, wobblers, lick matts, and frozen treats to keep me thinking and focused.
As for regular toys, I'm still figuring out what to do with them, but I would love to learn how to play with them so we can have some fun games together.
If you have another dog at home, I'd like to meet her at time of adoption. I can be a little vocal and worried if other dogs get in my space too much, so a calm, social female would be a great fit for me.
If you have any teenagers at home, I'd love to meet them as well!
