About Duke
Duke is an apt name for this noble brown tabby. Loved by everyone he meets Duke must have been loved in his life because he is still willing to give us humans a chance.
When a concerned good samaritan found Duke living on the street, he had an obvious eye injury. Our vet believes that he suffered a trauma which damaged his eyelid & as a result his eye was not being lubricated. Duke would have been extremely uncomfortable & the only way forward was to perform surgery to remodel his eyelid.
Duke has now completely recovered from surgery and is on no ongoing medications. He has a perfectly functioning eye (& eyelid) and is ready to move onto the next stage in his life. Whilst he has been with us at SAFE, Duke has became a firm favourite with volunteers because of his calm, affectionate nature. This beautiful boy will be a great addition to any family, but please give him time to settle down in your home and if you have small children under 5 always supervise their interaction with him for a while.
Duke has been through a lot but come through with flying colours. Will you shower him with love for the rest of his life?
If the statements below describe you & your home, please come in to meet Duke or call us 0404 753 227.
I will supervise any children under 5 with Duke
I will allow Duke time to settle in and let him show us when he is ready to trust us
Cat accessories such as carriers, litter trays, litter scoops, food bowls, etc. are all available for purchase at SAFE Haven, with all proceeds going back to the pets waiting to find their forever homes.
If Duke isn’t the cat for you please monitor our website for your perfect match!
