About Marshall
Marshall
English Bulldog x
1 year
The smooshy face you can't help but love
Marshall is the most adorable and squishy dog, loyal and steadfast in his love for his humans. He is an active and lovely natured dog who loves pets and human contact. He would be great with humans who are active and able to give him the training and enrichment he requires. He is very protective of his humans and can make a good watch dog. His way of interacting is to lean in or gently nudge his humans’ hands with his head when he wants physical contact. He is very loveable and has the most adorable face and floppy ears. Marshall is soft, sweet and fluffy like a marshmallow!
He's a shorter stocky little guy weighing in at 30 kilos of chubby fun
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
He loves to greet his humans with a friendly tail wag and his whole body goes into a flutter when he sees his foster human dad approach him. His favourite activities are playing fetch, tug of war. He is fully house trained and will let himself out through the doggy door to the toilet.
FOOD
He is a good eater and is happy to have fresh doggy roll (prime), loves raw bones and meat, as well as his dry food. He has gained weight in his foster home and is looking amazingly healthy and strong.
SOCIALISATION
When he meets other dogs on his walks, he wants to interact and play. He had a play date with one of our tester dogs a female and he had a ball
OBEDIENCE
Marshall is well behaved and will stop at a crossing when told to do so. Most times he will stay when instructed to do so. He requires enrichment and can get into things if left to his own devices for too long.
ENRICHMENT
Marshall loves a daily walk and is very well behaved on a lead. He loves stopping and smelling . When he gets his harness on, that is the only time when he gets animated and does little bouncy dances in anticipation. He tends to start his walks with a bit of gallopy excitement but slows down to a slow-motion walk at the end.
He also greets all visitors and likes to smell any strangers who he might encounter on his walks, especially if they have been around dogs recently. He is definitely tuned into smells from outside his territory, as he will always do a ‘smell over’ of his own humans when they have been out and about.
SLEEPING
He sleeps all night quietly in the laundry on cold nights or outside on his doggy couch on the deck on warmer nights. On rare occasions he can get disturbed by other dogs in the neighbourhood or perceived danger when he can start barking and may need some reassurance to settle back to sleep.
HYGIENE
. He has a beautiful soft coat, and he tends to shed a little bit. A regular brush of his fur will also keep it clean and healthy.
TRAVEL/CAR
He is very happy traveling in a car as long as he knows his humans are with him.
IDEAL HOME:
Marshall would love a home with a playful loving female of med size to be his BFF . He will need a good size yard and space to run and play. He will make the perfect companion for an active family who can give him the enrichment and training that he needs. He will make a faithful and loyal friend for active adults or families with older children.
