Altai is best described as a big goofball that’s full of love!

He’s a total sweetheart and just wants to please his humans. He’s still learning how to do this best, and certainly gets an A+ for effort & enthusiasm! We’d love for his new home to continue with his training.

Altai is toilet trained, can use a dog door, and walks well on lead. He is still getting used to the halti, which sometimes means he will snake around on the ground for a few seconds mid walk, though he’s improving lots and should be snake free in no time! We hope his new home will be patient as he continues to finesse the halti walk.

Altai loves his people and will happily snuggle on you / next to you / near you. He is excellent at cuddling. He has been crate trained at night, though won’t say no to sleeping next to you in bed! He even sticks to his side and lets you stretch out.

We recommend that Altai is in a home without young children as he doesn’t realise his size, and while he isn’t a big jumper, he likes to paw enthusiastically and greet you with his full body. He has been great with his 8 yr old humans. He also needs a home without cats or pocket pets.

He doesn’t currently have a pal at home and when left alone, he isn’t necessarily destructive, but he does get bored and “investigate” his surroundings. We’d love to find a home for him with a doggy pal that will be happy to play with him, that he can learn from, and that will be happy with company.

Altai is an absolute delight and brings lots of happiness to his current foster home.
