About Anthem
Miss Anthem is our resident sweetheart. She loves a cuddle and is very loyal to her family. This girl has so much potential and will make an amazing dog for a family who are looking for a best friend to include in all life’s adventures.
While in foster care she has been living with two large breed dogs with whom she LOVES to play with. She is very speedy and enjoys zooming around the back yard and playing with toys. She is also living with a cat who she is cautiously interested in, so we feel could coexist with a cat if the cat is dog savvy and not flighty and the handlers have done cat introductions before.
Anthem enjoys getting out and about for bush walks, beach trips and visits to the shops. She came from rural NSW and is gaining more confidence out and about with every single walk. She has decent energy levels and will require a family who can take her on at least one good outing a day to burn off some energy.
This girl is smart as a whip! She picks things up very quickly and is highly motivated by praise. She is learning basic commands and sleeps through the night in her crate without issue. She is very gentle with the kids in the house, and will be fine with kids 12 and over as she can be a little flighty around younger children.
Anthem will need dog experienced handlers to help her continue to navigate her new world. With clear guidance she is progressing really quickly. She needs a bit more exposure to socialising with strangers out and about as she can get a bit nervous of the odd person on leash and let out a few nervous barks. She will need a family who know how to approach these situations and give her lots of positive experiences so she continues to thrive.
We are looking for a home with another confident and playful dog at home who can be her buddy in the outside world and a playmate at home. She would love if her people were around often, at least at the start while she gets used to her new environment. She will need to be allowed inside as part of the family and provided a warm and comfy bed inside to sleep on of a night. She is not suited to apartment or inner city living.
Anthem would make an amazing companion for someone who just wants a best friend. She is extremely loyal and once she builds a bond will be your partner for life. She is great fun to take out and about and gives the best snuggles at home on the couch. She is in typical naughty puppy age, so her new owners need to ensure she is managed appropriately so she doesn’t get herself into trouble while not being supervised. She is generally a very easy pup who just wants to please her people.
If you feel like you are the adventurous and dog savvy family Anthem is searching for, fill out an adoption enquiry form on our website as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
