Mustang Sally has found herself thrown into a new world . She is a sweet girl with classic Heeler temperament and needs a very specific home where she is admired by a mature adult who has Leadership skills and experience with the complexities of a Heeler temperament.

I am looking for a new home where I can be your devoted and only dog. I am loyal and affectionate though it can take a few days for me to get to know you when we first meet. Us Heelers are high energy and I need someone kind, with the time and energy and ideally an understanding of Heeler temperament, who is prepared to teach me simple commands once we get to know each other so I can be my best self.
Things have changed a lot for me the last couple of months so I can get confused easily and I will need time and patience with you to settle in. No one here knows a lot about my history but I have had lots of puppies. I need a routine, no sudden noises and I am unfamiliar with children. Older teenagers may be okay if they aren’t too loud and are patient enough for me to get to know them before we become friends. I am okay if you have a partner though and your partner wants to take me for long walks to win my affection.

I think I have always lived outside . . I need a routine and lots of I guidance. I like sleeping in a kennel near the house so I can hear you inside. I’m a bit uncomfortable inside as it is an unfamiliar world but I’m sure I could adapt if you wanted to help me learn the rules and I could go outside anytime. Please don’t tie me up and leave me alone anywhere . I need a fenced front or back yard. I love to watch the world going by as I don’t really know much about the outside world . I travel really well in the car .

I will love cuddles and spending time with you in the garden, I will be good on the lead when you walk me and when we pass other dogs , I will sit at your feet if you stop and chat to your friends, but I don’t really know how to relate to other dogs. I am great at amusing myself, playing with a large ball tor an empty flower pot or anything else I can toss around. Sudden movements and sudden loud noises can startle me and if a dog rushes up to me I don’t like it so please don’t take me to a dog park and I would rather not have doggie visitors , at least for a while … .I'm possibly okay if I visit their place and introduced slowly , I just don’t want them moving in on me ! I am okay with thunder I'm pretty smart and need stimulation. I am happy to sit and laze around patiently for hours but my nervous energy can build up and I start dancing on your toes. Once I’ve been with you for a while I think I will be a lot calmer knowing I have company and a home. I don’t want to live with dogs , young children, or cats . I'm pretty quiet generally.
