About Salem
Please let us introduce you to this little gorgeous boy
Salem is a 4 month and 2 week old French Bulldog who is just divine! He is an awesome little guy who loves his humans, his fellow fur siblings and life in general.
Salem came into care at the age of 8 weeks very unwell – but with the love and care from the vet and Paw Prints Canine Rescue here he is!!!
Salem is just a divine smart as a whip little boy who will love a cuddle in the morning and then some playtime with his siblings – its super fun to wrestle thru the house of a morning and then some breakfast.
Salem will spend his days alternating between being inside and outside, playing and snoozing. While Salem loves to sleep on the bed with his humans, or on the couch, or a comfy dog bed, he’s not above just finishing playing and then sleeping right there on that spot.
Salem is not a barker but if other dogs bark, he may briefly put his two cents worth in but that is it.
Salem has played while growing up in care with a sphynx cat – both of them love to wrestle and chase each other – Salem will be good with cats, however he will want to play and make them his friend.
Salem is a happy, friendly, sociable little boy, who does love to make friends with other dogs but will also stand up for himself and tell another dog off (big or small) if they are playing too boisterously or he is wanting a break.
Salem has grown up with multiple dogs around him to play with, cuddle with and generally just be there with from an old grumpy Chihuahua x to a 12 month old 72kg Neapolitan Mastiff – We are looking for a home for Salem with at least one other dog for him to continue his socialisation with, cuddles at night and wrestling first thing in the morning.
Food wise Salem is not fussy at all but does especially love a good home cooked meal of chicken mince or turkey mince, vegetables and rice with some dry biscuits (currently on Royal Canin) and happy to have a treat!
At my foster home we have a dog door and go in and out as I please. My toilet training is a work in progress.
If you are a family who will love me for my entire life and consider me as an important and much-loved family member. Will continue training me and socialising me so I can reach my full potential, please send in an application so we may get to meet.
** Please note applications will close Sunday 3rd April 2022 at 5.30pm

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
