Meet the ravishing Ruby. This gorgeous 4yr Old Pug X is rumored to be a complete heart stealer! Her eyes have an uncanny ability of communicating directly with your heart. She has a very loyal and loveable nature that endears her to everyone who has cared for her. Her favourite thing in life is cuddling up to humans on the couch, with her second-best activity involving sleeping under your chair while you work or read.
Ruby is so content just to have contact with humans that she is a very easily pleased pug.
Ruby can become anxious when separated from humans but as she becomes more secure and confident, this is becoming less noticeable. She is initially scared of new people and dogs but forms strong bonds quickly with her new pack.
Although Ruby can exhibit some possessive traits, she is eager to learn and eager to please. She is very willing to learn new positive behaviours. For example, Ruby has quickly learnt to sit calmly before receiving a welcome hello cuddle. Ruby loves her food and is super responsive to treats.
Ruby only needs a 5-minute tour of the garden for exercise. Although she appears keen and enthusiastic to go on a walk, she prefers the indoors to outdoors as she can become easily scared of cars and strange noises. However, some challenging sniffing games do help to burn off some of the mental energy of this highly intelligent dog.
Ruby is looking for some extra special care as she is recovering from a back injury and needs to find a flat home without many stairs. She is on some medication to reduce her allergies but she does enjoy a wide and varied diet. At night she sleeps on a sheltered veranda and the only noise you will hear from her until morning is her snore.
Ruby would suit someone with a lot of time at home because she loves sleeping in the
company of either humans or dogs. After Ruby takes some time to get to know them and
stops being scared, she has good social skills with other dogs and seems to enjoy their
company.
For more information on Ruby please contact her foster carer, Alison, on her email
hastalavista56@hotmail.com, Ruby is in foster care in Salamander Bay,
NSW. Ruby’s adoption fee is $700 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
