About Wendy
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. When wendy arrived at the pound the staff suspected that she was pregnant and she was released immediately under duty of care so as not to risk her contracting any disease which could place her puppies in jeopardy. Wendy was x-rayed that day to try and determine her due date and the vet thought she was about three weeks away. Wendy grew bigger and waddled around her foster carer's house so two weeks later another x-ray was taken to see if she was ready to have the puppies and how many there were. It was discovered that wendy was having six very large puppies and the vet decided that she would need to have a caesarean. As it happened, wendy went into labour that night and had her c-section the next day. Her puppies were perfect when delivered, all extremely healthy and were 10 days old when this story was written. Wendy is getting lots of rest and is on a regime of biolac, royal canin lactating formula and a calcium supplement twice a day. They are all kept cool in the air-conditioning to give them every chance and to keep wendy comfortable when she is feeding them. We do not know what breed the father of these puppies is but they are all brindle in colour and quite large considering the size of their mother. We will have more of an idea what the blend is when they are a little bigger and walking around. Wendy had four girls and two boys and they will be available for rehoming just before christmas so please check out their listings. Wendy was originally bought from a pet shop in castle hill and we know this as, when she came into the pound, her microchip was still in the pet shops details. They were contacted and had no idea who they had sold her wendy too therefore her owner could not be contacted and of course the pet shop did not accept any responsibility. And the people who bought wendy when she was an 8 week old puppy did not go to the pound looking for her. In our mind wendy is lucky to have gotten away from them and left unclaimed as she (and all her puppies) will now be desexed before they are rehomed. At least we can stop further breeding from one little dog who was sold from a pet shop as a companion dog and ended up pregnant and unclaimed in a pound. Who says pet shops rehome responsibly? not in this case!!
wendy comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $350 when her puppies are weaned and is not available for adoption outside nsw.
