About Moomoo (Molly)
**Enquiries close at midday Thursday 31st Mar **
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
**Before applying, please remember that adopting a puppy into your home is a huge commitment, and very demanding of your time. Puppies require daily exercise, positive socialisation with other people/dogs/puppies, grooming, training and playtime. When applying, please consider your work hours, holidays, and how busy your personal life is. Puppies will need someone who is home for most of the day with regular focused input, especially in those first six months after adoption **
Adoption fee will be advised on receipt of a completed SAFE application.
NAME: Moo Moo (Molly)
BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to rescue as an owner surrender with her 2 sisters.
BREED: Terrier X
BREED Traits: Terriers come in all shapes and sizes and were bred for different reasons but many were for farm work or ratting. Today they are mainly companions. Terriers are generally high energy, very bright and quick to learn but can be stubborn. They have strong personalities and can wear big trousers when interacting with other dogs. They have a sense of fun and want to be included in everything you do so don't take on a terrier unless you really do want a constant companion.
ASSETS: Easygoing, very affectionate, friendly, obedient, quiet, sweet, eager to please, confident and playful! She only really barks when she wants attention.
ENERGY LEVEL: Moo Moo is a typical pup at the moment, plays, eats, poops and sleeps! As she grows she will need good daily exercise and as she is a terrier she will be medium to high energy with an active brain. MooMoo is quietly confident and most laid back of the pups
FAVOURITE THINGS: She enjoys playing with her sisters and the older dogs in her foster home. She also loves to run around like a mad thing then snuggle up with her person for quiet time and cuddles. She also likes to make little nests out of her foster carers washing to sleep in.
ENDEARING FEATURES: She has a sweet, beautiful nature and is a complete delight to be around. She loves affection from her people and will lap up all the attention she can get.
OTHER ANIMALS: MooMoo could live with another playful, friendly dog in her new home after gentle introduction. She could possibly live with a dog savvy cat that will stand its ground and rule the roost, at the moment the pups chase the resident cat but she puts them in their place - MooMoo would not be suited to live with a timid cat or other small animals
WORKING ON: Housetraining. It’s starting to come together but she will need some gentle training and persistent gentle signals to remind her to go outside. Expect some accidents until she gets the hang of things!
MOO MOO’S IDEAL HOME:
• a home where she is treated as part of the family and is allowed to be inside and out as she needs and to sleep inside at night
• a decent sized garden where she can run and play, sniff and explore
• a dog- experienced family where someone is home for most of the day especially in the first six months after adoption
• attendance at puppy school and continued training into adulthood for her to learn and grow confidence
• continued positive exposure and socialisation
Due to never having lived with small children she could suit a home with older children only, 10+, who will know when to give her space and treat her gently.
If Moo Moo sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please submit an enquiry and we will be in touch soon.
