About Kit
HISTORY SUMMARY:
Kit was a stray, surrendered with mother and a sibling via council.
VET NOTES:
Treated for flu. Desexed.
SHELTER OBSERVATIONS:
- All prior to 21/12/22: Stressed and timid.
FOSTER CARER NOTES:
- Can be frightened if household too noisy, but has slowly become more confident around people.
- Sleeps on couch or Cat Bed.
- Reasonably active. Plays with dangling toys, feathers, balls and string.
- Plays with foster carer/people.
- Uses scratching post & cardboard scratcher & furniture. (No other destructive behaviours.)
- Enjoys being patted.
- Does not like being picked up.
- Does not like being held.
- May adapt to sitting on lap in time with more human socialisation.
- Kit was timid, but responded to offerings of food, and if you allow him to approach you, he will eventually start to trust you and will engage in play and let you pat him. Get down on the ground and engage at his level.
BEHAVIOUR SUMMARY:
- Timid and frightened, but relaxes in time if given space and in a quiet home. Enjoys limited affection at this stage. Plays with toys. Not suitable for noisy home or young children.
ADOPTION RECOMMENDATIONS:
Foster carer states Kit and his sister Kaboodle would do well if adopted together by an experienced cat owner in a reasonably quiet home, if given time and patience.
- Children older than 12+ recommended.
