About Joni
Joni is an affectionate, active, intelligent, dog that loves daily walks, ball games and mental stimulation.
Typical of her type she is a plucky little lady who is engaged with her surroundings and always ready to get involved in anything that's happening! She is a fun little dog who exudes intelligence and a love for all things fun. Balls, food, chasing things. She is highly trainable and would love a human who keeps her mind active with training and environmental enrichment. Luckily, unlike her cohort she isn’t a barker!
She’s toilet trained, knows a range of commands, has a fantastic off\snore switch and adores snuggling with her favourite people.
As Joni can be worried about stressed\stressful humans, she needs a calm, indoor, adults-only (16+) home. She will benefit from a home with kind, patient, dog-savvy people and ongoing positive training to build her confidence.
Joni is seeking a home where someone’s around most of the time (not just during pandemic times), as she gets worried when alone and can create her own distractions.
She may also enjoy living with a well-matched male dog, pending a slow introduction.
No cats for this typical terrier.
Joni doesn't take long to warm up to house guests, but she’s fearful of unfamiliar dogs/humans and will react when she senses danger. On-lead walks in quiet areas are best for this little lady.
If you can provide Joni with the life-style she needs and where she can exist at the centre of your universe, we’d love to hear from you.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
