About Neville
Neville ("Nevie") is a super cute and funny tabby boy who relishes in pats, loves his food and galloping around the house after a good snooze and feed.
Nevie has had an unsettled start after being rescued from the streets then having been passed around a few homes, through no fault of his own, during which he developed a urinary infection due to stress. This infection accompanied by inappropriate urination seems to be caused by a stressful and/or loud environment as this has disappeared quickly in a quiet home but he should be monitored to ensure this does not reoccur.
Nevie enjoys a few bouts of the zoomies each day chasing his foster brother around the house which is lovely to watch. After all this activity and having a full belly, he loves some head and chin scritches to send him off into dreamland. Nevie also really enjoys being up high so would appreciate a tall cat tower or two.
He loves the company of humans and is quite outgoing and friendly with anyone he meets - he doesn't mind large groups of people as that means lots of attention! He's also comfortable with other cats, as long as they are friendly and with the right introduction but is untested with dogs.
As he's still only a young cat he does like to run around and play with a few toys but won't climb your curtains - he's a pretty well behaved boy!
Due to his start in life on the streets, Nevie is FIV + but with the right vet care and diet he can live a normal, long and happy life. However, as he is FIV + he should be contained to indoors and if you have (or are willing to create/buy) a secure cat run, he would appreciate some additional space to soak up the sun rays.
Due to Nevie's stress-induced urinary issues, his ideal home would be a quiet one without young children.
If you'd like to have this delightful boy in your life to dote on, please send us an enquiry and we'll send you an application form to complete as the first step in the adoption process.
Medical notes
Neville is FIV+ which just means he needs some extra monitoring and to be kept secure indoors (and with a cat run if available).
Adoption details
1. Initial email enquiry via Pet Rescue messaging system. *This email may go to your junk email folder.*
-Please do not enquire if you are only thinking about adopting - enquiring should only be done once you are 100% certain that you are going to go ahead with adopting.
2. Full application form required to be returned before Bast will contact a prospective adopter (check your messages / email / junk mailbox messages within 24 hours for the form).
-If we don't hear from you we may presume you are no longer interested, so please let us know if you have changed your mind, or adopted another kitty.
-Bast Team will only allow cats to be adopted who are given the best care, and this starts with their food. Our adopters must choose Vet food (Hills/ Royal Canin) only.
-Please ensure that you have written landlord approval to have a pet before enquiring.
-Please message us on the cat or cats you are interested in and we will ask you to fill in an adoption form and send it back to us, so we can get the relevant details from you.
3. Phone conversation IF your application has met the needs of this cat(s) from our team lead.
4. Meet and Greet with cat or kitten
5. Adoption (with trial period - contact Bast Team should there be any issues, even years in the future)
-All adoptions are subject to a settling in period. If for any reason your new addition is not suited to your lifestyle, we ask you contact us, rather than dropping the kitties off at a shelter or another organisation.
Please note we are a volunteer run, small organisation so please be patient with us, and understand that with some of our kitties, we get several responses, and if you are not successful with a kitty you applied for, perhaps you are more suited to another of our kitties.
Thank you
