Azula is looking for an extra special home. Could you be the one to help her?

Azula has not had a great start to life. Found outside near some train tracks, skinny, scared and alone, she was brought to SCAR by a caring member of the public who saved her from the harsh life of the streets.

Straight away we could tell that although a little hissy, tense and worried, this little kitten had a gentle and beautiful nature waiting to shine through. She just needed to be shown that people weren't as scary as she thought they were.

Immediately, she was off to foster care with one of our staff members. Azula with her wide eyes was brought inside a home for the very first time. Everything was new, and a little overwhelming for this spicy street kitten, but soon enough the hissing turned to purrs after some gentle pats and yummy treats.

She then learned that toys are amazing! She would play to her heart's content, and always the people returned with food and kind, quiet words of love. With the help of a resident dog, some fluffy blankets and a hidey hole, Azula was soon racing around her new home. Crying for attention whenever she went back to her room for the night. People aren't so bad after all.

However, Azula's troubles weren't over just yet. After finding all the good things that being a true family member had to offer, Azula began to fall sick. Her foster carer rushed her back to the SCAR Clinic, where she tested positive for feline Parvovirus.

Her foster carer worried so much as did the rest of the SCAR team, however they should have known that Azula wouldn't go down without a fight. This kitten is stronger than she appears. After a few weeks being treated, she has recovered, and now she needs your help!

Azula needs her own family. Someone to love and take it slow with her until her confidence returns. Due to her previous illness, as a precaution, Azula will either have to be the only kitten in her home or live with adult cats who are vaccinated. Those interested in bringing Azula home are welcome to speak with our vet team about this to dispel any concerns.

She would do best in a home without children and could live with a cat friendly dog. Most importantly, she wants someone to spend time with her, to give her yummy treats, talk softly and provide warmth and care. She really deserves it after what she has been through.
