Helga is a lovely cat who is not demanding or needy – she’ll blend right in with your life and happily be there for you when you want, and amuse herself when it’s alone time.

You certainly won’t get slaps in the face to wake up and feed Helga in the morning – she’s prepared to wait until you are good and ready to feed her. Such are the quiet and peaceful ways about this gorgeous grey girl with the sparkling green eyes.

Helga came from the streets so she knows what a rough life is like. And she never wants to see it again. This makes her very appreciate of the safety and comfort a home offers. This is one kitty who knows where her bread is buttered!

Because of her humble beginnings, Helga can be a little wary of new people but once she trusts you she shows you that she is a purry kitty who will do circles of love around your legs and enjoy a good smooch session with you.

You doesn’t have to worry about Helga being left alone during the day, she’s totally fine with that. She will find a window to stare out of until she falls asleep. It’s at night that Helga likes to join in the activity and show you how loving and funny she can be.

Helga does enjoy the quiet life and she can be spooked by loud noises, so she’ll scamper off to somewhere safe until she feels it’s okay to come out again. It’s a legacy from having to fend for herself and hide when danger was near. She is learning to not be so worried but it will take time to adjust completely.

Helga would be great in a home with a single person or a couple, or a family with older teenage children. She is not suited to a home with young children or where there is a lot of activity and loud noises all the time.

Helga would also need to be your one and only pet. Helga is not keen on other kitties and is untested on dogs. But given her background we do not feel that she would cope well in a home with a dog, no matter how friendly that dog is.

Helga is very much a background player. She won’t ask for much from you other than some occasional pats and purring sessions on the lounge. She isn’t needy or demanding but is so grateful for a safe roof over head and a warm place to rest her soul.

Helga has been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and is ready to go to her new home now. We will also consider a two-week trial with the right applicant.
