About Jazzy
Jazzy is a curious and joyful girl. She is up for any adventure and loves to explore the world.
She loves her walks but doesn’t cut a fast pace, there are just so many things of interest to check out and people to meet. Jazzy has learnt to walk gently on the lead but gets excited meeting new doggos. She is learning to be calmer meeting new dogs but not everyone appreciates her enthusiasm. Her happy-times on-the-spot bunny hops when she is excited are infectious and a good laugh for all involved.
Jazzy settled into her foster home with ease. She is toilet trained. She knows the routine and will go to the door to signal that she needs to pop out to attend to business. Jazzy understands that she has her own bed to sleep on but the couch and big bed are for the humans. She will happily get onto the couch with permission and have a good cuddle up to her favourite person though. Provided she has her walks and playtime, Jazzy will snooze the day away. She loves tossing her toys into the air or chasing a ball in the yard. Jazzy is also a hoarder, taking great pride in collecting various household items and toys to bring back to her nest. No damage done, she just loves to be around her newly acquired treasures.
Jazzy will need her humans to be home more often than not. She's a social girl and likes to be with her people. Jazzy is a comedian, loving and playful. She loves to bring joy to the home. You can’t help but be charmed by this shiny black panther, with her rich amber but slightly crossed eyes. She is divine and is looking for her forever person that would love a loyal sidekick and companion.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
