About Sox
Hi there wonderful humans!
Super glad that I was the feline to catch your gaze, let me guess.. was it my glorious green eyes? My terrific tuxedo markings? My marvellous meows for your attention?
Well, without further ado let me introduce myself like any proper gentleman would. My guardians at the shelter called me Sox. You see, I didn't have a name when I arrived into care as a stray with no microchip but the staff took me under their wing and showed me all of the things that life has to offer as a domestic cat.
I have to let you know that when I did first arrive into the hands of the shelter I was a little afraid and unsure of my new situation. The vets prescribed me with a medication that would help me cope during my stay, don't worry though, they will go through everything with you and answer all of your questions. It only took me a short time to trust my new shelter acquaintances and oh boy, was I truly lucky to have found them.
Delicious meals, comfy safe places for me to rest, the best kinds of scratches and a second chance at finding my forever. Whats not to be grateful for? I guess all I'm waiting for now is a special family to come along and grant me the gift of a place to call home.
So what kind of home am I after you ask?
A home filled with all of favourite things of course! I'm quite good at telling the time and will have no problem reminding you of my meal times, I might even get a bit too excited and snatch the food off you before you even have a second to put it down! Whoops, sorry! I am also quite the smarty pants so please don't use those boring cat bowls to feed me - allow me to show you how good I am at using slow feeders and puzzle feeders, it keeps me entertained too!
Lots of high places for me to perch and some quite places to spend my days cat napping would be the feline dream. I am safest kept indoors but there is really no limits to how exciting you can make my world - cat grass, classical music, all kinds of toys (especially those string toy kinds), hidey holes, cat scratches - the options are truly endless. I might even be open to sharing a home with another feline companion - who knows!
I am looking for a family to spoil with all of the love and affection that I have to offer. However, I will most certainly need to build a trusting relationship with
my new humans before I feel comfortable to solicit for that close petting. Ooo you can even do the trick that the shelter staff did when I first arrived! Offer me my favourite yummy snacks of course. Don't worry, I'll show you when I want pats by giving your hand a little nudge with my cheeks. If I don't give the nudge then its best to give me some space to do my own important cat stuff - but you can definitely try again later!
So here's the deal, if you offer me a place in your heart, I'll offer you mine.
Love always,
Sox
xx
