About Celeste
Hi everyone!
My name is Celeste and I am on the lookout for my forever home. There is quite a bit you should know about me before coming to say hello as I am a very special girl. It is best for me to go to a quiet household with experienced owners as I am not your typical cat. It does take me a while to warm up to new people and new environments. When first going out to my foster home I was very scared, but since then I've gained a bit of confidence and have
begun to come out of my shell. If looking to adopt me, it is best if you set me up in a small room for a week or two just so I can get used to the new area. It can also take me a little bit to warm up to new people as well, but I do love my food so you could always use that to gain my trust. It is also best that I don't go home with any young children as I do get scared of loud noises and fast movements.
I will need to go home with a family who understand that I'm a very independent girl who enjoys just doing her own thing. I don't like being picked up but once I am familiar with you, I may allow some head scratches. In saying this, I do still enjoy the company of humans but it may just be me being allowed to lay on the couch next to you or getting to sleep on the bed. I'm also not the biggest fan of the vet, but honestly it is so scary there and I get very anxious
so I will need an owner who is prepared to help me on my best and worse days.
I have begun carrier training in my foster home and once I'm in, I will fall asleep straight away. It would also be great if I could have a little hidey hole so I can hide if I get too overwhelmed. I can also be quite vocal once I get comfortable in a new place. Ask my foster mum and she will tell you about all our daily talks.
I am hoping there is a purfect home out there for me as I would love a family to call my own. I am a very special girl and I do come with a few spicy personality traits but if you are interested come on in and say hello. I can't promise I'll come out for you in the shelter as it is quite scary but I will try my
best to be brave.
