About Baxter
This darling boy is BAXTER, a Staffy mix born on 14 October 2021.
He's an easy pup to have around. Very gentle and well-mannered, he's a sweet-natured boy and eager to please. His foster family absolutely adore him.
Baxter loves the company of humans, especially children, and will thrive in a home where he is regarded as an integral member of the family. He is accustomed to being an inside-outside dog.
He loves other dogs and is also great with cats.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and there is another compatible dog for him to play with. He is not suited to full-time workers.
His adoption fee is $650 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Baxter lives in Warwick, Queensland and is available for interstate adoption.
Medical notes
For a pup of his age, he has quite an eventful back story. He arrived in care with a week-old fracture of his left front elbow, caused during play with an adult dog. Thanks to a gifted surgeon, a shiny stainless screw implanted in his elbow and dedicated foster carers, Baxter has regained his mobility and is now ready for his new home. He still has a slight limp, which doesn't bother him a bit. Although he may never lose the limp altogether, he should continue to improve in the coming months.
Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) The "meet and greet" is held in Warwick, Queensland. If successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
