About Maxie
Meet Miss Maxie!
This divine little creature is an 8 month old Border Collie x Smithfield Collie girl. She is super smart, affectionate and very playful.
Due to not having a structured or well balanced start to life, Maxie can be a little nervous and reactive when in new situations. She came into foster care very fearful and uncertain but with 48 hours of strict boundaries, kind words, hand feeding, interaction with the resident well balanced Kelpie, she was a completely different dog!
She will do best in a home where someone is around more often than not. Although she loves to run and bound around, she is just as happy pottering in the garden or sitting by your side, while chores are done. She is a good girl, cute and quirky, and she has SO much to give - impressing her foster mum every single day!
Maxie is not suited to a home with children just at the moment, however she does do very well with a calm, dominant older dog that controls the play and leads the way. She is naturally quite submissive and is quickly learning how to have good doggie manners.
While she will still be a work in progress for quite a while, this clever little cookie is an open book ready for an experienced person to take her in and give her the structured life she truly deserves. Her adopter must be willing and able to continue on with her training and confidence building.
If you have the patience and skills to work with this gorgeous pup and help her live her very best life - then apply now!
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
