About Bestie
Look no further! You’ve found your Bestie. This socialite is everyone’s best friend. He’s actually a little famous in his hood - the older community always stop to pat him. Bestie is not complaining!
Bestie always makes an effort to look his best. Dressed in a tuxedo, clean as a whistle. He’s curious and likes to be around people. His personality can be best described as chilled and friendly.
He enjoys spending his time outdoors, and would not be suited in an indoor only environment. This social butterfly will come and greet you upon return home from work. He lays on the footpath in front of the house, watching the world go by or seeking cuddles with others in the neighbourhood.
He’s happy to flop down and snooze in the sun and always keen to make new friends. All his cat sitters in the past have sent photos of him cuddling up when meeting for the first time. He’ll flip onto his back for tummy rubs and headbutts to be patted. Bestie is not a vocal cat unless his bowl is empty, and he politely asks for food. He’ll eat off your palm gently and absolutely loooooves tuna!
Another way of spoiling Bestie is brushing him, especially under his chin. He’s an indoor/outdoor cat that uses a cat door to move in between. He always comes home in the afternoon for food, after visiting the neighbours when his family is at work. Fun fact: There have been Facebook posts about him being the friendly cat in the neighbourhood!
Bestie loves sleeping on the end of the bed or in the open window in the sun. He doesn’t sleep on the bed at night, but probably would if you let him! He’d love a lap to sit on for pats when he chooses, and he doesn’t like being picked up all the time. Bestie is independent and is not fussed with cat toys or games.
After your shower, Bestie will jump into the bathroom to help you lap up the water. He knows then you say ‘ah’, he’s not allowed to jump on the table or bench. When he gets brushed, he’ll let you cut his nails by a simple tap on the top of his paw.
He comes home to eat and sleep during the day and at night - he doesn’t need a special bed or box to sleep in but has his own cushion. Bestie is litter trained but prefers to do his business outside. He’s always looking for feline friends around the streets, so he’d love to have another companion to live with.
Ideally, Bestie will go to a calmer environment where he gets lots of attention (but not smothered). Bestie can be nervous and jumpy around loud, unexpected noises and movements. For this reason, active kids are not the best fit for him.
Note: Bestie is located in Willoughby, NSW

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
