“Mowu, Loyal Companion” comes from a card in the game Magic the Gathering… and a loyal companion Mowu is. Wherever you go, Mowu follows.

Mowu is a big boy with the biggest heart. He has lots of love, cuddles, kissies, and nibbles to give to his new family. Given his loving nature, he will thrive in a home where he will included as a part of the family. He adores cuddles on the couch and morning cuddles in bed.

Mowu can become very attached to his humans. In true Staffy fashion, he has shown signs of separation anxiety. Mowu will need a family where someone is home more often than not, or time to become comfortable at home with a canine sibling before being left alone with them. He will need his new family to have experience with big dogs (preferably bully breeds) and ideally, knowledge of separation anxiety or commitment to learning how to manage separation anxiety.

Mowu has gotten along well with his resident foster siblings. He is now learning how to play fight but can be a little unsure and awkward. He would benefit from a family with another submissive male or female dog to help develop his confidence and show him the ropes. Over his time with us, Mowu has really come out of his shell. We have seen him run past us with many an item to take out the doggy door - socks, shoes, a tea towel, his bed. He will need regular walks and a physically and mentally stimulating environment.

Mowu does not like to share his food or treats with anyone! He does not appear to have had much training or socialisation. He is food driven and very eager to please, so he will learn quickly when the time is taken for his training. He can become overexcited when he sees another dog an a walk and is unsure how to approach them. He will thrive with a firm but loving leader that will be committed to helping him become his best doggy self!
