Allegro

Allegro has the big puppy eyes look down pat. This smart, playful and curious guy loves exploring, playing fetch and cuddles.

While in foster care he has been living with a large breed dog whom he loves to run around the backyard with. Allegro is very food motivated and very well mannered too. He will wait patiently to be fed and is very gentle when hand fed treats.

He loves going for his daily walks and his lead training is coming along really well. Allegro likes a leisurely walk where he gets to stop for a good sniff and meet other dogs along the way. He approaches all dogs calmly and is very gentle with young children. He will be a moderately active dog and will require a good amount of daily mental and physical exercise to keep him satisfied.

During the day Allegro will often nap on his bed, take himself outside to play with his toys, or run around with his foster sibling. Allegro loves a belly rub and is super affectionate. He likes to lean on his foster parents and lay in their lap for a cuddle and greets them in the morning with excited tail wagging. Allegro sleeps soundly through the night and is toilet trained, taking himself outdoors through a doggy door. Of course, his toilet training may regress in a new environment. While in foster care Allegro has taken really well to routine and has learnt basic commands, sit, stay, wait, come and no.

Allegro came from rural NSW and was living in a backyard with 3 of his siblings until he came to us, so has had limited exposure to the outside world. He would love another confident and friendly dog to help him continue to confidently navigate the world. The dog would ideally be of similar size or larger and a playful dog who also likes to snuggle. In liu of another dog, he needs someone around most of the time. He needs confident handlers who understand how to read body language and respond appropriately if he finds himself overwhelmed in a situation.

Allegro needs a home with no, or older kids and a family who will allow him inside to be a part of the family. He should be provided a good quality diet and a bed to sleep on inside of a night.
