About Flash Gordon
The beginning of Flash Gordon’s life remains a bit of a mystery to us, but he wasn't very well... he appeared in a volunteers garden in pretty shabby condition. He was very thin, his coat was matted, he had a limp and no vet work at all done for him. Turned out Flash Gordon had bone cancer, which required a leg amputation on his front left leg due to bone tumours and is now a tripod cat. He is still recovering and learning to walk with one less leg but in time he will be able to wander around and play more or less the same as any four legged cat. And he's so good looking, Flash Gordon is a gorgeous tuxedo tabby with big green eyes and little white paws.
Despite the horrible condition he was in, Flash Gordon has always been an affectionate and friendly boy. If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, loving companion please look no further. Flash Gordon is a very calm and peaceful boy who loves a cuddle, but also respects personal space when his human wants. He hasn’t yet shown much interest in playing, but he has had quite a tumultuous time in foster care with his surgery, so who’s to say he might not enjoy it later in his life. Flash Gordon is very food driven, he absolutely loves his mealtimes and treats and with patience and time he no longer shoves his face directly into whatever his human is eating (although I still keep an eye out just in case).
Flash Gordon would suit most families, or would make a great companion for a single person who is home often. I am unsure of how he would go with other cats but I believe with proper introduction it would most likely be fine. He is an indoor cat, but due to his history on the streets and love for windows, I believe he would enjoy outdoor time safely on a lead & harness or access to a cat run or a catio.
I cannot emphasise enough what a lovely boy Gordon is, and am so excited to find him the perfect forever home. Are you looking for a best friend, because Flash Gordon is looking for his best friend too!
