About Jack
Jack, the ‘Hairy McClary’ look-alike, was surrendered to us by his owners, who bought him from a pet shop as a puppy.
He spent his first eight years as a family member with two children and a Toy Poodle. The dogs were inside the house, sleeping next to the owners bed - you get the idea.
Then, when Jack was 8, the family moved to a house that didn’t allow dogs inside. So, the two dogs were outside 24/7.
A year or so ago, the other little dog died, the kids are grown, and the adults work full-time. Poor Jack has been alone ALL the time and has barked his displeasure and sadness.
Hence, he was surrendered.
Poor Jack was disoriented and worried for the first 24 hrs in my home, pacing and crying. However, once we were past that first day, he became a new dog.
What a wonderful little companion he is, trotting along after me all day long. Jack LOVES human company and gets along beautifully with all the other dogs here. He loves his morning walk and absolutely adores his food. Completely toilet trained and uses the doggie door for toileting. Jack happily goes to bed, in his own bed, next to my bed, and sleeps all night.
He is great in the car too.
Now Jack is a boy who NEEDS his humans to be with him. Please don’t reply if you are going to leave him for more than an hour or two, as he does bark if left completely alone.
(No barking at all while a human is home.)
PLEASE NOTE: We are located in Moree, northern NSW. If you cannot travel to collect him, you cannot adopt Jack.
So, please tell me all about your household and what you can offer this super special boy.
I also need you to tell me the following:
1) Is everyone in the household ready and happy to adopt Jack?
2) Are you willing and able to drive to Moree?
3) How long would Jack be alone during the day, if at all?
4) Do you have other pets?
5) If needed, do you have Landlords permission for a small dog?
