About Melao and Salomon
Hello everybody, welcome to Melao and Salomon's profile; we hope you enjoy reading their story and fall in love with them.
They are looking for a loving home ready for a life full of adventures, cuddles and purrs multiplied by two furry angels.
Melao is an explorer; he is a curious soul that enjoys wandering around the house looking for the best spots to sleep. He is a bit shy at the beginning, but once he feels comfortable, he becomes the spoilest, sweetest and most playful kitty. He likes pats but at his own pace. He is hoping to be not only your roommate but your bed mate hahaha.
Salomon is shyer and timorous of new people, but once he is out of his shell and feels confident, he is the loveliest and sweetest cat. You will be able to carry and pat him. He also enjoys sleeping between your legs for a little while, but he is more independent and will find a peaceful place just for him.
They are blood brothers; they have created a strong bond, and they help each other come out of the shell and be their best version.
Having a pair of kitties at home is one of the best decisions you can ever make; you will have twice the love and happiness, and they will have company when you are busy or not at home.
Medical notes
Salomon: FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
It is important to realize that while it is impossible to predict the survival of a given cat infected with FIV, they can live very normal, healthy lives for many years if managed appropriately.
Casual, non-aggressive contact does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the virus. As a result, cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections.
How else can I help protect an FIV-positive cat?
Nutrition is important for all cats, FIV positive or not, along with limiting as best as you can their exposure to potential pathogens. These measures are important and can extend an already long life. It is especially necessary for FIV positive cats to be kept indoors, where their immune system will be less exposed. An examination at the vet twice a year is very important.
