About Bucky
Hello world, meet Bucky! Please ready the below profile properly.
This boy is after an adults only home, ideally without other dogs. Bucky will need someone understanding and gentle in their approach as he has not had much life experience whatsoever. Bucky hasn't been handled much in his life so isn't a cuddly boy, he's definitely a character though. Someone who is sympathetic to this and is sensible with handling will make sure Bucky is set up for success.
Bucky is really enjoying downtime in his foster home, learning to be an inside dog as he has spent his whole life only outside in a front yard. This means that sometimes he rushes to the front door, thinking he needs to be out in the front yard.
Bucky is just starting to learn to play with toys. He likes balls and plastic squeaky ones the most. He loves sleeping all night and will only get up when his foster Mumma gets up.
Sometimes he can get excited and jump on the furniture, he's still learning at to be an indoor dog you see. His foster mum found him on the dining table once...He's a very quirky boy, but that just makes people fall in love with him.
He really love walks. He hadn't been on many, if any, before he came to his foster home. He has a lot of fun whenever he has a chance to go!
Bucky is somewhat clingy and will follow you everywhere around the house. He will be a little shy at first with people he doesn't know but your patience will be rewarded with a new best friend.
Bucky is still working on toilet training, and someone will need to take everything slowly with him. From spending 11 years outside in a front yard to being indoors and a part of a family is a big change!
His foster mum calls him a circus dog. Mostly because he stands on two feet and walks/ spins in circles.
Bucky is really excited to go to my furever home so please adopt him.
Please make sure when applying that you address Bucky's specific needs in your application.
Bucky's adoption fee also covers a 1 on 1 post adoption consult over the phone with our behaviour trainer to make sure both adopters and Bucky are set up for success.
