Zar

The absolutely stunning Zar is now seeking his forever home.
He is a sleek little Staffy x  who currently weighs in at a mere 17kg.
Zar is a very well-behaved, affectionate young boy. He is extremely happy to see you and appreciates all the time you spend with him. He loves showing how much he cares and follows you wherever you go (even pushes open the toilet door ??). He often receives compliments on his behaviour and his brindle colour.  One of his absolute favourite things is a good pat and scratch behind the ears and to snuggle up on the couch ??
OBEDIENCE
 Zar is a great listener. We really cannot fault his behaviour. He sits nicely for treats. He comes when you call him, loves ball play and brings the balls back to you (most of the time). He loves a snuggly teddy and will carry this around with him. He loves running in the yard with us. He has a good walk daily, if not twice daily, they don’t need to be long walks, just enough to take in the world around him . Zar enjoys spending time with everyone in the family and is fond of kids. Any human interaction is great. He will need enrichment as if bored can get into mischief as he is still quite young and loves chewing his toys. We have found that walks, kongs with treats, Smackos hidden inside and toys to keep him occupied will do well when left alone. He needs interaction toys to occupy him otherwise he may get up to mischief.
ENRICHMENT
 Zar has great energy, he rarely barks, he will occasionally get startled by neighbouring dogs or birds. He will need stimulation when alone for long periods, such as chewing on bones or toys. If left for too long, he can get bored and create his own entertainment by digging holes in the yard or trying to find his food he may have buried. He is extremely quiet when he plays alone and gets super excited with company. If you throw a ball in the yard and take him on daily walks he will thrive.
SLEEPING
 Zar started off sleeping outside but as he loves human interaction prefers to sleep inside preferably on one of the kids beds and also his dog bed. He is a bit of a bed hopper ?? everyone feels the love ?? His usual bed time is around 9pm when the kids go to bed and he sleeps through until 7am.
Zar enjoys being inside the home and in the yard. He loves a good movie night and relaxing on the couch. He is generally very well mannered. When inside and he needs to go toilet, he will go to the door and wait for the door to open. He loves all kinds of toys, especially those he can chew on or roll around and a teddy bear 
SOCIALISATION
 Zar foster family consists of 1 adult, 2 children and 2 cats. Zar has ignored the cats but at times he is curious and will follow the cats. He has shown playful cheeky affection to all of us equally and is happy to sit or follow us around curiously (even pushes open the toilet door ?? He attended a school athletics carnival and did really well when students asked if they could Pat him. He enjoys the kids entertaining him by reading or watching tv together. He has had strangers visit him in the house and he has always greeted them politely and without fuss.
TRAVEL/CAR
Zar enjoys car rides and does really well. . He loves looking around and resting his head on someone’s lap in the back.  
IDEAL HOME:
 Zar would thrive in a home with a family that is regularly home and very inclusive. Zar would probably prefer to be an inside dog with easy outside access, giving him the freedom to go about his day as he sees fit. His family will need to invest time in him and ensure he has daily enrichment because he is both intelligent and cheeky. He will need space as he loves to run so a decent yard is required. Zar is the best kind of canine companion and would love to live with a family that loves cuddles and licks as he loves to snuggle and give kisses
