Hi, my name is Jackson.
I am a gentle giant looking for a forever home. I am a big, beautiful boy (approx. 50kgs). I have my playful moments, but I am more than happy to snuggle with you as well. Whether it is a walk, a play, a cuddle or just a relaxed chill, I am a loyal companion just looking for the right family to adopt me.
My ideal home would have people who are home most of the time and experienced with dogs, though not necessarily big dogs. I know my manners and although I am big, I am gentle. A doggy companion would be great because I love to play with other dogs.
I am easy to look after as I need little grooming. I am happy and enjoy life, especially with my humans. My energy level is medium ie. I like to play but also like to relax and chill with the family. I enjoy a 30 minute walk every day and an occasional game of tug.
Most of all I need love and a family who is kind, consistent and fair. I love being a good boy and being praised for it. I am a quick learner and I love food rewards, which makes me easy to train. I sit and wait for my dinner and shake hands. I am learning to walk properly on the lead and my foster Mum says I am making great progress. I am also working on 'drop'. I know my manners in the house and am toilet trained. I promise to work hard to learn if you will teach me.
There are no cats or birds in my home, so I am untested with those. I do not chase wild birds that fly into my yard. I am best with bigger kids after all I am a big boy, and I might accidently knock a little one over. At home, I always welcome visits from friendly dogs when we are properly introduced.
I do not normally jump or dig, but for safety's sake I need secure 5-6ft fencing.
My ideal home would be with an experienced dog owner, a family with older kids, one or more doggy playmates with medium energy levels, secure 5-6ft fencing, a nice comfortable bed, daily interaction with my forever family, ongoing training, and walks.
