Hi my name is Roger!

I am the sort of dog that is perfectly happy to lay around the house or yard with you. Wherever you go I will be close by, I love quite company and to simply hang out.

I walk well on the lead, and do not pull. I am a bit nervous if there’s too much going on with noise and people, so I do prefer a quieter place I walk. And I only need about 10-20 minutes maximum, before I’m tuckered out. Because I am happy to be a bit lazy, I won’t notice if I miss the occasional walk day and will happily opt for rest, especially if i can hang around with you.

I pretty much don’t bark at all, only on the very odd occasion and there’s usually a good reason.

I follow the sit command like a pro and come when called. I am also house trained, and sleep happily through the night without a peep. I am very well behaved when at the doggie wash - I don’t put up a fuss which makes bathing me a joy because I look so cute being a good boy.

I am very well mannered when it comes to feeding time, I will sit when asked and wait for my food to be put in front of me, and then given the go ahead to eat. I also don’t beg at the dinner table when you’re eating, once I realise it’s not my food I will go and chill out somewhere else.

I ride well in the car, after a minute or so of excitement I will lay down and enjoy the ride.

I will need a good secure yard with a decent 6ft fence I can’t jump over. I would be happiest as an only dog. I am super loyal and just love the company of a trusted person that will love me and make me feel safe.

My perfect forever home is with a person or couple who are happy to give me company and receive it in return from me. I will be your furry, four-legged shadow and always be right behind waiting for a pat. Small children and noise are probably not my thing. I can be a bit nervous when there’s too much going on, especially during my first few weeks of settling in. Meeting new people is a bit overwhelming, but give me my own space to retreat to and I will be ok. And who knows, once I’ve settled in and feel at home knowing this is my place, I may come out of my shell and become more confident.

I am a good companion dog looking for a loving owner/s I can just ‘hang’ with. I’m a low maintenance pooch, with nothing but good company to offer.

Oh and I like to chase flies, so I'll get those pesky insects under control for you.
