About Billie
Billie is playful, happy, confident, loyal, quiet and fluffy!
Billie would like a human who has a good understanding of canine communication, is patient and will help him gain confidence at his pace.
He will also need an adult-only home.
Needs time to get to know and trust people and then he is a devoted fluffy shadow. Is fine with strangers though, especially if he meets them while on a walk or they want to play fetch!
He is:
Toilet trained
Crate trained
Walks well on lead and loves walks
Happy and outgoing
Doesn’t bark excessively
Good with other dogs, but would be happiest as an only dog
Meets other dogs nicely when out and about.
Is independent and can be left alone inside or outside
Sleeps quietly overnight
He needs help with:
Slow and respectful introductions to new people.
Will snap if he feels threatened, (especially if he is physically moved when he doesn’t want to be). Or if he is scared and restrained he will use his teeth to bluff his way out of it (hasn’t injured anyone though), this applies to people and dogs.
He doesn’t appreciate having his butt touched and needs further desensitization.
Billie loves his people, following his people around the garden or taking them on walks, balls and looking adorable while he sleeps in a fluffy ball or glowing like a majestic red fluff in the sun.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Billie is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
He has had a recent dental, and is perfectly healthy!
