NOTE: You are unable to meet Jess until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Jess in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• MUST be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie companion is a MUST to keep me company when my family isn't home or a family that is home all the time. I suffer from separation anxiety which results in howling and possible destructive behaviours.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok
• small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• Very playful
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit
• I am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans once im comfortable
• Happy to hang out with other dogs that aren't too boisterous for me.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• I can sometimes initially be shy and try to avoid things going over my head (lead etc). It doesn't take long for me to warm up and my excitable & full of life nature to come out.
• I am social with other friendly dogs however I am skittish if they are too full on or reactive to me, further socialisation is recommended.
• I do walk quite well on the lead once settled, however I can pull if something interests me and can be quite skittish if startled so walking in a harness is recommended.
