Hi there. I’m Taki. I’m a 1-year-old kelpie x border collie boy.💕

I’m a happy boy and I’m looking for my forever family. I’d best suit an active family that will include me in their everyday lives. I’m a super social boy and enjoy playing with other friendly larger dogs. I must have another friendly social dog to play with in my new home. Older children will suit me best as I do forget my manners sometimes and may knock small kids over in my quests for love.

I'm a super friendly & cuddly guy who just loves to be with my trusted human and dog friends.

Since coming into foster care I’ve started my basic training. I’m food motivated & enjoy my training sessions. I’m a clever boy & learn quickly. I sit & wait for my food, although that nearly kills me. I'm working on my recall but will need more work with that under high distraction. I have also started my lead training and am walking nicely alongside foster mum. I go on bush walks with my foster family and foster siblings. I don’t stray too far from foster mum.

I currently sleep inside in the laundry. I’m a good boy and sleep quietly through the night. I do come in for cuddles through the day and am progressing well with house training. During the day I have my big wooden kennel with a covered verandah to hang out in when foster mum & dad are busy.

I live with cats but I haven't been formally introduced to them. As I'm not suitable with chickens or pocket pets, it's unlikely that a home with cats will suit me.

I’m searching for a family who understands the needs of working breeds. A home that can provide me with ongoing training & both physical & mental stimulation to help me be the best boy I can be. If you think you can provide me with my pawfect forever home, my foster mum would love to hear from you.
