About Earl Gray - Located in Preston
Please see medical notes before applying.
Rescued from a country pound as a young kitten, Earl is now approximately 11 months old. He is a smoochy but playful young man who is looking for a family who can give him loads of attention, as he definitely needs to be tired out for a peaceful night. He would be better suited to older children, however, as he is quite big and could overwhelm.
Earl is currently fostered with a miniature schnauzer and a younger kitten - it didn’t take long for them to make friends, and the two cats chase each other and play very vigorously. He may hide under the bed for a couple of days at first, but with some gentle coaxing, he will emerge for some smooches and cuddles. Although he doesn’t necessarily sit on laps in the evening, he is quite partial to be being picked up and cuddled.
A particularly vocal boy, especially at meal times, Earl has taken to the raw food the other household pets enjoy and then during the day he loves tearing around the house with the toys and cardboard boxes - he also really enjoys the cardboard scratching pad and dangly wand toy.

Medical notes
Earl Gray has previously suffered a trauma to his eye causing a puncture that he was unable to receive treatment for. He was extremely lucky as his body manage to seal the puncture over and save the eye (most punctures result in compete loss of the eye ball). The scar tissue makes the eye look interesting and his vision is limited. The eye is currently comfortable and not causing him any issues and his vets have advised no further treatment is currently required. It is recommended Earl Gray be indoor only and stays away from other cats who may try to scratch him in the face as any further damage to the eye may result in it requiring surgical removal.
