Skip has been in our home for about 2 months now and has definitely come out of his shell since being with us. He is goofy, inquisitive and most of all extremely loving.

He is still understanding what life as a dog is really like due to his previous home having him on a chain in the back yard for his first few years. He is learning basic commands such as sitting, waiting and walking nicely on a lead.

Due to lack of socialisation he is quite reactive to dogs on the lead and does not quite understand canine communication, therefore dog parks would not be an option for him. We believe he would blossom being the only dog in his new home.

He is often left at home unattended for a few hours and has displayed no destructive or separation anxiety behaviours. He lounges on the couch and goes outside to toilet, he has not been trained how to use a dog door.

He is still learning how to play and finds squeaky toys quite intimidating but also interesting and is becoming more comfortable with loud noises. His favourite toys are cuddly plush toys that he can carry around and rope toys he can chew and fling in the air.

He loves his daily walks on lead and sniffing new grassy areas. He is a zoom boy and will often get excited when he gets home and do laps around the yard after a walk!
