Hi everyone, I’m Rue. I flew all the way from Mount Isa to the foster home that I’m in now. Everyone always asks my foster mum, what breed am I? She agrees with the council who indicated that I am a Greyhound x, as I have several breed traits, including a very soft coat. I’m quite a nervous nelly, especially of men but am learning that most people are actually pretty nice – and always seem to carry around food!
I went to training for the first time last night and my foster mum said she was very proud of me and that I’m a fast learner. When we first arrived I noticed my tail was between my legs, but we did lots of walking, sitting, dropping and staying and I got lots of treats and my tail came out and I started to feel more comfortable. I would love a home with another dog, who’s at least a little more confident, to show me the ropes.
I am crate trained, food motivated and am learning to play fetch. I have been chewing on an assortment of things, but have settled on a goats horn which I sometimes carry around with me and nibble on throughout the day.
Rue is $300 to adopt plus $100 desex bond which is refunded once pup has been desexed by our nominated vets at an appropriate age.
