About Mabel
Mabel came to AWL with a litter of kittens and is now looking to score a home for herself. Mabel has been let down once by people who were responsible for her care and were not.
At first Mabel was not very trusting of humans but while in foster care she has learned that not all humans are unkind. She now greets her carer at the door and gently head buts and smooches around her legs. She would not be suitable for small children as she doesn't really like to be picked up.
Mabel will happily sit next to you on the lounge and I'm sure she would love to share the bed with you given the opportunity!
Mabel is great with other cats and is currently in foster with another foster cat. If you are looking for a friend for your feline friendly resident cat, with a slow introduction, Mabel might be the right cat for you! Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me from death row and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Forms will be emailed to you on request. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
