About Bond
Bond is no secret agent. He could never hide his joy for life - his wagging tail gives it away every time. He loves any attention from his humans or strangers. Call his name and his tail will wag, walk by his bed he will wag, throw him a toy - wag.
Bond is a handsome boy in his tuxedo - black with a white chest and cuffs. He has a noble roman nose and cute overbite that reminds his foster mum of a Fraggle character.
Bond is still learning the ropes in his foster home. He wants to please and is learning which furniture he is allowed on. He will make the most of any opportunity to snaffle food left unattended. Thankfully you can easily take food from him if its not allowed.
Bond likes cosy places to sleep. He enjoys being under his foster Mum’s desk when she is working. Popping up for the occasional pat, putting his head in her lap. Once Bond disappeared - every room was searched. I wasn’t until a little foot was seen protruding from the wardrobe in the guestroom that he was discovered - happy as a clam, nestled amoungst the clothes.
At home not much fazes Bond. The vacuum cleaner is not a scary monster and he can do stairs. Bond sometimes doesn't understand what is a chew toy and what he shouldn’t chew. Its best to keep the house tidy and some things out of reach.
Bond loves his walks, learning to walk on lead without too much zig-zagging. He will stop to sniff and browse but his enthusiasm is for meeting people. He loves to say hello to everyone. Not many can refuse to say hello back to this charming boy.
Bond is happily living with another greyhound in his foster home. On his walks he is happy to meet large and medium dogs but is not suited to a home with a small dog.
Bond does still have a bit more energy than your average grey. He would be best in a home with a decent yard to explore and will need his two good walks. He is also craves human company so will need a home where his humans are home a lot. Having another suitable dog would be good for him too.
Bond, The Spy Who Loves You.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
