About Nala ~ 3mo Kelpie X
Meet Nala, an adorable, happy, healthy, loving and playful dog, Nala is one girl with a seriously sweet nature and very soulful eyes. Being fit, active and happy, Nala would make a perfect companion for a family, as she loves playing with (older) children.
Although Nala is learning basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay and learning to walk on a lead, she will still need ongoing training. However, she is very responsive and eager to learn; a very well-behaved and smart girl who learned to use a doggie door and was mostly toilet trained in a couple of days. She has picked up sit quite quickly, still needs some work as sometimes it takes a few times to say it before she gets it. She is also sitting and waiting for her food until receiving the command to eat. Walking on a lead is a work in progress and has improved quite a bit. Even though she does still try and pull every now and then, especially when she gets a bit excited, she's progressing really well, really quickly. Learning to bring back in a game of fetch is also a work in progress, but Nala is a quick learner and should get the idea with a little more practice.
Nala is not recommended for households with small animals or very small children but loves playing with dogs larger than her.
With her easy care, smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing, Nala is very low maintenance. Nala would be happy in a household with older children and canine companions that are on the larger side and given plenty of love, attention and exercise. Nala is quite happy just to be loved and to receive the attention she so deserves.
If you feel you can provide this sweet-natured dog with a loving, permanent home, please contact Nora on 0418 402 150 or email: dogrescuemudgee@gmail.com.
Nala is in foster care in Mudgee, NSW and is looking for a permanent home. Nala is
de-sexed, vaccinated, free of fleas and worms and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350.
