About Roxy
Hi humans! Introducing Roxy - an affectionate, loving and good-looking floof!
Roxy is a gentle indoor companion who wants to curl up at your feet to make sure they are safe. She loves curling up in a patch of sunshine, or on the softest cushion on the couch. This girl is happy daydreaming for hours. Once she hears a suspicious noice, she’ll make sure to alert you. This mostly happens when another dog or cat passes the house. Roxy is a lapdog, than can easily spend all day soaking up pats and scratches. If you tell her to go, she understand to hop off your lap to find another spot to snooze. Roxy is a well-mannered girl, that knows the basic commands: sit, go to bed and she can take herself outside to the toilet through a dog door.
Unfortunately, Roxy hasn’t always received the love she deserves. While she’s gentle and tolerant, she can be nervous around loud noises, raised voices and a lot of commotion. The quiet life is what she’s after!
Roxy loves the outdoors and will run like the wind, if something catches her interest. She’s still in the process of learning how to stay close to you off leash. Unfortunately, she gets aggritated sometimes, because of her fear. Sometimes she’s aggressive towards other dogs on a lead. This has improved with training, but quiet streets are preferred over parks. Roxy spends most of her time sleeping, playing tug-o-war with Junior, pttering around the courtyard, sunbaking and checking the front windows. She’s very gentle and tolerant with the little ones, however she may be best in a household with no small children as she likes the quiet. Roxy has storm phobio - panting and very clingy - and can aslo become distressed in heavy rain. She uses pee pads to toilet inside when it’s raining. Roxy is a wonderful, loyal dog with a lot of love to give.
Ideally, Roxy will go to a friendly, caring household that understands her need for a quiet, peaceful environment. She dreams of days fills with cuddles and love!
Her son, Junior, is also looking for his next home. They'd loooove to be rehomed together, so they can conquer life as a team!
Medical notes
Roxy is on a low dose of Prozac for anxiety. Besides this, Roxy is fit and healthy!
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
