About Portia
Portia is a 6.5 year old Pug x (suspected Chihuahua), who is a dainty little girl at just over 5kgs.
Portia is house and crate trained, travels well in the car, has excellent recall, small dog and cat social (not large dog tested).
Portia is a very sweet, delicate, submissive natured little dog, who is heavily focused on her person; she must be allowed to stay inside when her family are not home and secure fencing is a must, as she will try to find weaknesses in the fencing to get to her person.
Portia is currently in foster care with another small dog, cats and young children, where we have found this sweet girl to be incredibly submissive and doesn’t take kindly to loud noises, sudden movements and whilst she adores children, boisterous play of children is overwhelming for Portia. For this reason, Portia is best suited to live with a family of children 12 and over, in a quiet home with someone home most of the time.
Portia has previously lived with another small calm dog, however, given her focus on her person, she would be happy living as an only dog provided her family were home most of the time who allowed her to be an integral member of the family.
Please note: Her $850 adoption fee covers microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea, worming and a full dental which included extensive dental work.
