The story of Hope, a sweet 5 year old Staffordshire bull terrier x who was used as a bait dog and somehow managed to escape with barely her life.
Hopes story touched many hearts and had most of us wondering what sort of society do we live in that allows things like that to happen.
But then we see the will to survive, the determination and hope that this dog showed by escaping the Jaws of death and the wonderful people who then rallied around her to help her the rest of the way.
Hopes story will truly be one that won't be easily forgotten and the although her wounds will heal, the scars will stay with her forever which is why extra care will be taken with the adoption of this special lady.
Hope has had more sorrow, confusion and pain in her short life than any dog should ever endure and so it's our personal mission to ensure that she never has any more, ever.
Hopes amazing foster mum, Michele, has lovingly spent months nursing this girl back to health. From her broken body to her scared confused mind and although her wounds have mostly healed it will still take some time to heal her emotional wounds
The person who adopts Hope needs to be aware of the following
Hope still needs time to trust males but with time and frequent new introductions with men, she will over come this.
If left alone, she will do what she needs to do to get to you. Which can include breaking through fly wire screens and open windows in order to not be left alone.
Hope needs a canine friend in her forever family and preference would be a med- large male dog which is who she seems to get along the best with.
Hope is fine with children, Untested with cats and is great with all farm animals like horses, cattle and sheep.
She doesn't like swimming much and is starting to work out how to play with other dogs whereas when first in care she would just stand back and watch.
An amazing accomplishment for a dog who was barely alive when she came into care.
Hope is currently located on Jugiong NSW,
